BCN strengthens existing community structure to address the issues which lead to the family misfunctioning and its consequences such as family conflict, school dropout, drug abuse, delinquency, street children and malnutrition as a way of community peace building.
BCN empowers young people to feel comfortable to be part of the solution to address the issues affecting their communities by using their time, knowledge, skills and talent as volunteers.
Through the discussions with different people (children and adults), it has been realized that there is a need to pay much attention at family level (While putting the child at the centre) in order to prevent the family breakdown instead of waiting to provide response interventions.
BCN supports children from vulnerable families accessing quality education in their community.
BCN is particularly reinforcing the “Child Participation” starting at family and community levels in order to transform children from passive recipients to active influencers. The initiative started after observations, field work and assessments which revealed the breakdown of families as the main cause of children’s suffering or losing hope for their future. The demands for appropriate interventions addressing the above needs became evident.
BCN in collaboration with BHS (Bright Horizon School) would like to support vulnerable children to access quality education.
The children's families would like to get your support in order to help their children join Early Childhood Education as well as Primary level but their parents/caregivers are not able due to different life challenges.
